The Need in Bangladesh

The Rohingya refugee crisis in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, represents one of the most pressing humanitarian situations in the world. Over 1 million Rohingya refugees, who fled violence and persecution in Myanmar, live in overcrowded camps with limited access to basic services. Food insecurity is a critical issue, with many refugees relying entirely on humanitarian aid for their daily meals. Malnutrition rates, particularly among children and pregnant women, remain alarmingly high.

The camps also face challenges in providing clean water, sanitation, and healthcare, increasing the risk of disease outbreaks. Additionally, limited access to education and livelihoods exacerbates the vulnerability of refugees, particularly women and children. Humanitarian efforts in Cox’s Bazar focus on providing food assistance, improving water and sanitation infrastructure, and supporting healthcare and education programs. By addressing these urgent needs, we can help Rohingya refugees live with dignity and hope while working toward long-term solutions.
