Ivory Coast
The Need in Ivory Coast
Ivory Coast, despite being one of West Africa’s more prosperous nations, continues to grapple with significant poverty and humanitarian challenges. Around 39% of the population lives below the poverty line, with rural areas and northern regions disproportionately affected. Food insecurity is a persistent issue, exacerbated by climate variability, soil degradation, and economic inequalities, leaving many families without reliable access to nutritious food. Additionally, access to clean water, healthcare, and education remains limited in underserved communities, particularly for women and children.
Humanitarian efforts in Ivory Coast focus on addressing these gaps by providing food assistance, improving water and sanitation infrastructure, and supporting education and healthcare programs. By investing in these critical areas, we can help Ivorian communities overcome these challenges, build resilience, and create a more equitable and sustainable future.
We believe being ready is the key to responding quickly to a crisis.
